We wouldn't blame you if you and your customers were more than a little concerned with the increasing number of news stories surrounding lost data and 'supposedly' secure devices being hacked. Along with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) introduction of new powers to deter data security breaches, where organisations could incur up to £500,000 penalty - there is a lot to consider.
We cannot stop people from losing portable devices, but we can control how the data is secured by using the 'world's most secure flash drive', the IronKey!
IronKey Enterprise includes:
- INTELLIGENT SELF-DEFENDING SECURE STORAGE
- The Only FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Flash Drive
- Active Anti-Malware Protection
- Remote Administration and Policy Enforcement over the Internet
- Remotely Disable or Terminate Lost and Stolen USB Drives
- Strong Authentication
Information Commissioner's Office
New powers, designed to deter personal data security breaches, are expected to come into force on 6 April 2010. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) will be able to order organisations to pay up to a £500,000 penalty for serious breaches of the Data Protection Act.

IronKey products are validated to FIPS 140-2 Level 3, a higher standard of FIPS 140-2 than the products affected by this hack. Level 3 has much higher requirements for encryption key management, authentication and physical security.
