About Fuji
Fujifilm UK is dedicated to exploring the furthest reaches of technology and continuing towards a dynamic imaging and information future.
It is through the pursuit of continuous improvement that Fujifilm has been able to create revolutionary products and solutions across a range of industries.
About Fujifilm London
Fujifilm London is the UK subsidiary of Fuji Photo Film Co Ltd of Japan. The Company was first incorporated as a limited company in 1976, having previously been the subsidiary of Fujifilm Germany. Our Head office is in Swiss Cottage, North London, and we have extensive distribution and technical operations to the Southeast of Bedford.
Fujifilm UK has a staff of around 450, of which the vast majority are British. From quite modest beginnings, our business has become very strong in the UK. I am very proud of the huge commitment of my staff to create leadership in many areas. For example, we have been a market leader for more than 4 years with our FinePix range of digital cameras. We have also supplied almost three quarters of the new digital Frontier minilabs that are now appearing in many high street shops. Our core product, photographic film, is still regarded by enthusiast and professional photographers alike as the ultimate in product quality. Even in the less well-known field of computer media, we are a leader, with our ATOMM coating technology creating mould-breaking products like the 200 GB LTO&170 data cartridges and, coming soon, our NANO CUBIC technology offering incredible one-terabyte storage capacities for data cartridges and three gigabytes for floppy disks.
But the very best is still to come, and we are brimming with enthusiasm. Digital technology has changed so many of our markets – from the way photos are captured and printed, to the way x-rays are recorded and newspapers are printed. As an R & D driven company and a leader in so many core technologies, we have tremendous confidence in the future.
