FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SIMMS INTERNATIONAL PLC ACQUIRES THE SHARE CAPITAL OF JACTRON LIMITED 30 May 2008 Simms International plc, the UK’s pre-eminent distributor of memory and accessories, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Jactron Limited for a £1.2m consideration. Jactron Limited is a 19 year old business that specialises in providing industrial grade flash and solid state disk drives to military and aviation businesses. The Folkestone based business will be integrated into Simms as the company’s industrial division and will continue to trade as Jactron. “Jactron is going to be a wonderful new part of our business” said Alex Tatham, Simms Managing Director. “Not only does it transform our ability to service our industrial customers with expertise and high-grade products from Pretec and Apro amongst others, it will give Simms’ existing suppliers different routes to market for their own industrial offerings. The team at Jactron are wonderfully professional and they have a customer base that any company would envy.
