Why does power management matter for data protection?

When abnormal power-off occurs, iData Guard detects the reduced voltage caused by sudden power loss and sends feedback to the SSD controller. iData Guard will then provide the power needed during a power outage to write the data into flash storage, preventing data loss.
Power Saving Mode (SATA SSD only)
In some instances power consumption is the most important factor, Power Saving Mode ensures the SSD completes host commands efficiently returning to idle mode extending battery life for as long as possible.
This smart data protection technology is built into Innodisk’s SSD’s, providing a mechanism to instantaneously discharge data stored in temporary volatile DRAM buffers to flash storage in 60ms, ensuring the safety of data during power failures.
