As another year draws to a close, Simms would like to wish all partners a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. This year has brought unprecedented change to our industry, particularly since October, and navigating these conditions has not been easy for any of us. Despite this, Simms is proud of the resilience shown across the channel and is deeply grateful for the collaboration, trust, and hard work shared with customers and vendors throughout 2025.

The shifting market has created challenges for many, with uncertainty, consolidation pressures, and the announcement that Micron will exit the consumer market in February 2026 after 29 years. Simms recognises the impact this has across the industry and will continue to support both the Crucial brand and Micron during this period of transition.

Amid the turbulence, there have been meaningful achievements. Simms celebrated its 35th anniversary, strengthened partnerships with new and existing customers and vendors, and was honoured to receive the Stockies - Storage and Security Distributor of the Year award. The company’s sustainability project also progressed, revealing unexpected Bronze Age artefacts on its land - an encouraging reminder of the history and stories that surround the places we work.

Simms approaches the new year with measured positivity. Our commitment to memory and storage remains at the core of the business, while we discover emerging areas such as edge and vision technologies to support partners. With market volatility expected to continue into 2026, Simms encourages partners to forecast demand early and remains committed to working closely with both customers and vendors to secure the best possible support.
